The growing demand for clean and renewable energy has positioned biogas as a reliable alternative to fossil fuels. In India, where agriculture, livestock, and municipal waste generates millions of tons of organic material every year, biogas offers a sustainable solution to waste management as well as energy production. At Prakrriti Enterprises, we are a leading biogas plant manufacturers in India, delivering advanced solutions for compressed biogas (CBG) projects that power industries, vehicles, and communities.
What is a Biogas Plant?
A biogas plant is a facility that processes organic waste- such as agricultural residue, animal manure, food waste, and municipal solid waste- through anaerobic digestion. This process produces a mixture of methane and carbon di oxide, commonly used for heating or generating electricity.
When further purified and compressed, biogas becomes Compressed Biogas (CBG), a renewable fuel with properties similar to Compressed Natural Gas (CNG). This makes CBG a direct substitute for fossil fuel in transportation and industrial applications.
Why Biogas and CBG matters for India
With rising energy demand, growing environmental concerns and abundant organic waste, biogas and compressed biogas present a powerful opportunity for India to manage waste sustainably while producing clean, renewable energy.
